Luke 17:11-19
Many people are not even aware that they have been made whole, they still see themselves the way the world sees them. Some are waiting for prophets, priests and others to give them a verdict before they can believe the Word of God. The Samaritan caught wind of the heavenly perspective and he ‘saw’ that he had been healed.
Luke 17:11-19
There is a connection between faith and healing. In several instances in the Bible, Jesus declared to people, ‘…your faith has made you whole…’.
In our anchor text is the story of the ten lepers who met with Jesus on His way to Jerusalem. These men, cried aloud unto Him, saying, ‘Jesus, Master! Have mercy upon us!’.
For someone in a state of despondency, maybe you are just a ‘heart-cry’ away from your desired healing. As you lift up your voice to Him today, the Lord will answer your prayer.
In response, Jesus instructed them to go and present themselves to the priest for thorough examination and certification (Lev. 13).

The Lord specialises in doing things in the unusual and unexpected way! In the same manner, He told the servants at the wedding reception in Cana of Galilee, ‘…draw out some, and take it to the master of the feast…’ (John 2:8).
In another situation, He told a leper, ‘…be clean’ and his leprosy was cleaned. His judgments are unsearchable and His ways are past finding out.
And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed!
Your desired miracle lies in obedience to the Word of God. Alas, not everyone can see the healing and restoration that God has bestowed upon them…

While they were still engrossed with the journey to the priest’s office for validation, one of them ‘saw’ that he had been healed, turned back, re-traced his steps to the Master, and glorified God with a loud voice.
Furthermore, this man fell down on his face at the feet of Jesus, giving Him thanks, worshipping and praising Him…! And he was a Samaritan!
Where were the other folks? This was the same question the Master asked. They were striving diligently to get to the presence of the priest, so that the priest would certify them clean. They had met with the Spiritual and the Great High Priest, yet, they sought the validation of human priest so much that they fought to show appreciation to God.
Having begun in the Spirit, they sought perfection by the flesh (Gal. 3:3).
Don’t let it surprise you that the Master is still asking the same question today. Where are the others? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?

And the Master declared to him, ‘Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you whole’.
For those who choose to glorify the Master, in spite of their circumstances, He says to you… ‘Arise!’ And as you arise, you will shine forth as the brightness of the firmament.
The glory of the Lord will be seen upon you, in the name of Jesus Christ.
