With all diligence, we are required to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. This is because, so many things are contending for our salvation.
HOW CAN I MAKE MY CALLING AND ELECTION SURE?
PATIENCE / PERSEVERANCE
Patience breeds perfection (James 1:4)
We must through tribulation, enter into the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22)
Tribulation brings forth patience (Romans 5:3-4)
Bearing afflictions patiently, gives us an experimental knowledge of the loving-kindness and the ways of our heavenly Father.

GODLINESS
This is the expected outcome of patience in the life of a believer. God wants us to exhibit the person and the nature of Christ. (Gal. 4:19). This is the perfection that Christ requires from us, to put on the Godly nature, which stems out from within. Remember, it starts as an internal process……. (It’s first within, then without…)

BROTHERLY KINDNESS
A pure and genuine affection to all our fellow-christians, who are children of the same Father, servants of the same Master, members of the same family, travellers to the same country, and heirs of the same inheritance.

Goodwill to all mankind, whether they are Christians or not. Love involves showing genuine and unconditional affection to others, in spite of their attitude or behaviour towards us.
Love distinguishes us as the followers of Christ.
Godly love brings perfection (Matthew 5:43-48)
Love is the fulfilment of the law (Rom. 13:10)
