TOPIC: THE POWER OF VISION
What is vision?
The sense or ability of sight
A mental picture of a targeted end or an image
Vision means ability to see beyond the physical what ordinarily one could not see. It sees into the future. Goal setting largely depends on vision; otherwise, planning becomes a dream that cannot come through.
There is no limit to the extent one can go in life except that which one sets before himself. If you can see it, you can get there. If you can think of it, then you can achieve it. You have the power to become who you want to be. There is no stopping you in life except you.
Text: 1Kings 18:41 – 46
And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for [there is] a sound of abundance of rain.  42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,  43  And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, [There is] nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.  44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare [thy chariot], and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.  45 And it came to pass in the meanwhile, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.  46 And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
How does God design our eyes to see?

1. God expects us to see clearly. Mark 8:22-25
And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put [his] hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
2. He expects us to see with the eye of faith – Gen. 13:14-17, Heb. 11:11

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, [then] shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

 Heb 11:11

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

3. He expects us to see far beyond our prevailing circumstances – Psm. -27:3, Job 22:29
What you see is what you get, what do you see?
Who has believed or message? To whom will the Lord reveal his saving power? Isaiah 53:1

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are]temporal; but the things which are not seen [are]eternal.  – 2Co 4:18

Defeat or Victory – Psm 91:2-3

If you can see far you can go far. What you see is what you get.
1. I can do all thins through Christ. – Phil. 4:13

2. As you think in your heart that’s what you become. Pro 23:7
