WALKING IN THE REALM OF THE SUPERNATURAL
2 Kings 6:15-23; 1 Corinthians 2:9-14
The word ‘supernatural’ talks about manifestation or an event attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature. It transcends the law of nature and logical reasoning.
Our five natural senses serve the purpose of hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting and touching. However, there is a dimension to the supernatural, which the natural senses cannot explore. That is the realm of the spirit (or the supernatural).
Operating in the supernatural is one of the core responsibilities of the church of Christ. The supernatural is the bedrock of Christianity (Matt. 16:15-19; Ephesians 2:20).
From 2 Kings 6:15-23, we see Elisha and his servant. Both of them saw the same thing, but with different understanding. While the servant saw from the natural plane alone, Elisha saw from both the natural and the spiritual planes, but the spiritual was more real to him.
Many of us in the church today are like the servant of Elisha. We have a form of godliness, but we deny the power thereof. We serve God with our mouths, but deny Him in our works (Titus 1:16). Many of us are spiritually blind, we base our lives on what we hear, see, feel, touch, etc. We are spiritually vulnerable! We concentrate all our attention of the world system that is passing away (the world passes away and the lust thereof…..1 John 2:17).
Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)
How do you see the circumstances surrounding your life?
Do they determine your walk with God?
Do they look more real to you than God?
Many people claim to be followers of Christ today, but they operate at best, in the realm of the natural. They possess good qualities, good behaviour, good degrees, good interpersonal skills even good entrepreneurial skills, but they lack the main requirement for walking with God – faith! (Hebrews 11:6; Romans 8:8-9).

Some of the things that hinder us from walking in the supernatural:
1. Sin (Psalm 66:18)
2. Unbelief (Hebrews 4:1-3)
3. Worldliness (James 4:4)
How can I walk in the supernatural (spirit)?
1. Living by the WORD (Romans 7:22)
2. Accessing divine revelation (Jeremiah 3:33; 1 Cor. 2:16)
3. Faith (2 Cor. 5:7; 1 John 5:4-5)
4. Keep your heart with all diligence (Prov. 4:23)
